This soft summery scent for evening might just surprise you. At first I was skeptical, because vanilla can be just a little too clinging in some perfumes. However, the grapefruit note makes it more citric than anything, and the vanilla is rich rather than dainty. The way this smells, you kind of just want to nibble on it!

2. Cranberry Splash by Marc Jacobs

Marc Jacobs has a lot of scents that are perfect for the season. Of them all, though, I think Craberry is tops. As you might imagine, cranberries make up the top note, so you get something sweet but also tart, so it isn't at all cloying. Red currants blend in with it, and it's really their touch that makes this a wonderful evening scent.

3. Be Delicious Fresh Blossom Juiced by DKNY

DKNY has a lot of perfumes in this line, but the Fresh Blossom option is just that – fresh and alive. While the freesias could be overpowering, the addition of pink grapefruit and lily of the valley keeps it from being too cloying. You also get notes of apple blossom and palisander wood, for something both feminine and crisp.

4. L'Eau D'Issey Summer Fragrance by Issey Miyake

Here's another soft summer scent for evening that'll knock your socks off. It's all about marine inspired scents, and it is so fresh and delightful! In addition to oceanic hints, you get scents of roses and, of all things, pear water, so the whole thing results in a fragrance that's crisp but mysterious and highly feminine.

5. Ck One Summer by Calvin Klein

I don't think CK scents will ever go out of style – especially if they keep smelling like this one! It, too, has a sea breezy edgy, mixed in with some citrus notes – mainly lemons and tangerines. The combination is actually rather magical. This perfume is crisp, clean, and sure to keep you feeling refreshed.

6. Summer by Burberry

I'm actually a huge fan of Burberry perfumes and colognes, and this is an excellent soft summery scent for evening. It's incredibly citric, so it can even give you the illusion of coolness on the hottest days. You'll get notes of oranges and even mandarin, as well as a hint of green leaf. The resulting fragrance is incredibly crisp, so it almost seems like a very light cologne.

7. Flora by Gucci

With a name like that, you might first suspect that this scent would be too flowery for evening, but that's not the case at all. This is actually an updated version of Gucci's original fragrance, and you can definitely tell. It has a base made of osmanthus and rose, and while that could make it overly floral, the top notes of kumquat and bergamot make it absolutely delicious.

These are unquestionably some of my favorite soft summery scents for evening. Wear any one of these, and your date will be looking longingly into your eyes in no time flat.
